Percents, Decimals, and Fractions Collaborative Candy Project

In 1931, the famous Tootsie Roll Pop was born. Tootsie Roll Pops were a revolutionary new confection, as they were the first lollipop with a soft chewy center. Over the years, Tootsie Roll Pops have become part of American history. One of the most frequently asked questions is, “Which Tootsie Roll pop flavor is your favorite?”  Is it chocolate, cherry, orange, grape or raspberry?

Your task today is to create a spreadsheet that shows the results of our class survey we took yesterday. Please check your romerocharter.org email to find a template of the spreadsheet we will be creating. I will explain during class time how to fill out the spreadsheet and what will be required. To complete this project you will need to submit your link as comment below. You will also need to write a brief parpagraph that answers the following questions:

  • What flavor is the most favorite?
  • Least favorite?
  • What was hard about this project?
  • What was easy?
  • Did your guess match your results?

The most favorite flavor is cherry. The least favorite flavor was raspberry.Something that was hard in this project to accomplish was counting the amount of favorite flavor because sometimes we lost count of how much each flavor had.The easy part was doing the math for finding the decimal, fraction, and percent for the tallies.

Everyone favorite flavor was cherry. next, everyone least favorite was raspberry. the hardest part about the project is the part i need to divide the fractions because i’m not really good on dividing. the easy part from the project was to change the decimal to percent. finally my guess did match my result because i show my work on my note book.

The most favorite flavor is cherry, it had 23 people who liked cherry. The least favorite flavor is raspberry, raspberry didn’t have anyone who liked it. The hard thing about this project was to find the answer and to find the same product like my other classmates. What was easy for me was to sum up the numbers and start with the fractions.

Our favorite flavor is grape and cherry. I, Angelica, like grape because that is my favorite color and my favorite fruit. I, Paulina, like cherry because I like the taste of cherry and because it’s my favorite color. Our least favorite flavor is orange because the flavor is disgusting. What was hard about this project is that we didn’t know how to change a fraction to a decimal. What was easy for us was changing the decimal into a percent. Our guess was right. The good thing is that we didn’t get it wrong.

The most favorite flavor was cherry. The least favorite flavor was raspberry :( .Something that was hard in this project to accomplish was counting the amount of favorite flavor because sometimes we lost count of how much each flavor had or messed up because people talk to me.The easy part was doing the math for finding the decimal, fraction, and percent for the tallies. :) :p

The most favorite flavor was cherry.
The least favorite flavor was raspberry.
What was hard about this project was that we had a hard time trying to convert a decimal to a percent. We both tried until we asked one of our classmates to help us. Counting the flavors was also hard for us we were getting confused. The easy part was changing the fraction to a decimal. Our guesses did match our results. We worked together and we hope we got the answers right.

The most favorite flavor was cherry. This flavor only had 23 people who favored this flavor. The least flavor that was favored was raspberry. This flavor had no people that liked it. The hard part about the project was figuring out the percentages. The easy part was counting how many people liked what flavor. My guess’ weren’t actually correct they either far ahead or too low.
