Percents, Decimals, and Fractions Collaborative Candy Project
In 1931, the famous Tootsie Roll Pop was born. Tootsie Roll Pops were a revolutionary new confection, as they were the first lollipop with a soft chewy center. Over the years, Tootsie Roll Pops have become part of American history. One of the most frequently asked questions is, “Which Tootsie Roll pop flavor is your favorite?” Is it chocolate, cherry, orange, grape or raspberry?
Your task today is to create a spreadsheet that shows the results of our class survey we took yesterday. Please check your romerocharter.org email to find a template of the spreadsheet we will be creating. I will explain during class time how to fill out the spreadsheet and what will be required. To complete this project you will need to submit your link as comment below. You will also need to write a brief parpagraph that answers the following questions:

Our favorite flavor is grape and cherry. I, Angelica, like grape because that is my favorite color and my favorite fruit. I, Paulina, like cherry because I like the taste of cherry and because it’s my favorite color. Our least favorite flavor is orange because the flavor is disgusting. What was hard about this project was that we had a hard time trying to convert a decimal to a percent. We both tried until we asked one of our classmates to help us. Counting the flavors was also hard for us we were getting confused. The easy part was changing the fraction to a decimal.Our guesses did match our results. We worked together and we hope we got the answers right.
